Good preparation is what separates a great paint job from an average one. While a professional crew handles the heavy prep, a little help from you makes everything smoother.
Before the crew arrives
- Remove small items, wall décor, and valuables from the rooms.
- Take down curtains and wall art (we'll handle patching nail holes).
- Clear a path and parking for the crew.
- Secure pets in a quiet area away from the work.
What your painters should do
- Move and cover larger furniture with protective plastic.
- Protect floors with drop cloths or paper.
- Patch, sand, and prime imperfections.
- Tape and mask trim, outlets, and fixtures.
Choosing colors ahead of time
Decide on colors before the start date to avoid delays. Testing samples on the wall — and viewing them in daylight and at night — prevents surprises.
